Syllabus Overview

Type	Details
Written Exam	No separate written exam will be conducted by CSIR for this recruitment.
Shortlisting Basis	Candidates are shortlisted based on their total marks obtained in UPSC CSE-2024 (Mains + Personality Test).
Interview	Shortlisted candidates will face an Interview-cum-Document Verification conducted by CSIR.

Exam Pattern & Selection Process

Stage	Description
Stage 1: Shortlisting	Screening of applications based on marks obtained in UPSC CSE-2024 (Mains + Interview).
Ratio	Candidates will be called for the interview in a ratio of approx 1:2.5 (tentatively).
Stage 2: Interview	Conducted by CSIR. The interview carries a maximum of 350 Marks.
Final Merit List	Based on Total Marks = (Marks in UPSC CSE-2024 Mains + PT) + (Marks in CSIR Interview).
Tie-Breaker Rules	1. Higher marks in CSE-2024. 2. Older Date of Birth. 3. Essential Degree acquired earlier. 4. Alphabetical order of name.

Salary Details
